Cabin Fever

Here’s a Wellerism that pretty much sums up our Wednesday: “Just another day in paradise…with cooped up children and a foot of snow!”

Luckily, Jenna had the idea to get down our Yoga Pretzel cards, which were good for about twenty minutes of entertainment value (and a blog post!) 🙂 Here she is doing Down Dog:

Bruce continues to be on the mend from the stomach flu and is enjoying his unlimited access to screen time. But if I have to listen to the “Wild Krats” theme song one more time I think I’m going to lose it, no deking!

My kids would be totally jealous. They find it the height of unfairness that it has been cold enough to theoretically snow here in the Bay Area but the weather has been dry as a bone. Having grown up in New England, I personally feel that I have had my lifetime quota’s worth of snow already…

It would be more fun if I wasn’t afraid Bruce would throw up at any moment! Yesterday he refused chocolate chip cookies, but now he is eating a couple. Fingers crossed! My husband is having fun skiing from our front door. He’s going to try to get Jenna up on skis for the first time today.

Wow. Look at all that snow. I would love my girls to get the chance to play in it like that. Sadly– it’s 78 degrees here today. Forgetting skiing, I’ll think we’ll go on a shell-hunt at the beach.
