Cheap Math

As a former teacher, I think it is really important that schools and homeschooling families use a formal curriculum to teach math. A comprehensive curriculum is also useful for Afterschooling families such as ours who are dealing with a child who is one or two grade levels above his public school’s materials. But what if you are just testing the waters in terms of math enrichment for your child? What if your son or daughter really loves math, and you want to do encourage that at home with some cool ideas, but you don’t know where to start? Here are some of my favorite ideas for “Math on the Cheap”:
